Early Years Funding

.

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to universal funding for early years education of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year from the term after they reach the eligible funding age. 30 hours funding is available to 3 and 4 year old children of working parents (subject to certain eligibility criteria)

For children attending all year, funding may be stretched over the whole year. The maximum number of hours claimed in a year is 570 hours (15 per week) or 1140 hours (30 hours per week). If funding is stretched, this will equate to 11.2 hours per week for the universal funding (15 hours) or 22.3 hours per week for the extended funding (30 hours). If additional hours are taken over the entitlement of funded hours, normal fees will apply.
